Hey Ice King isn't going to win any awards for innovative design, but the soul of the show is present in gratuitous quantities. I want there to be a game for my favorite cartoon, of course, but "portable game based on a Cartoon Network property" isn't usually a phrase that inspires confidence. So, when I first heard about WayForward's Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why'd You Steal Our Garbage?! for the DS and 3DS, my initial reaction was one of both joy and concern. Needless to say, I love Adventure Time dearly. Other programs like Regular Show may be roughly as funny, but Adventure Time's contemporaries often lack its poignant subtext and stellar character development. Its adorable characters, hilarious dialogue and surprisingly complex and storied mythology set it apart from the vast majority of "children's" entertainment out there. Walk onto it to enter this area.Adventure Time is one of the very best things on television. Sail towards the southwest of the map now, arriving at the dock. Walk to the south of Marauder Village until you reach a dock. Pound it and head back up the ladder to receive the WIZARD STAR and an instant STAT upgrade!įind it in Room 2 of the Cave Dungeon. Go to your right and you will see a rock switch. Guess you’re gonna have to head down instead! If you go up, you will see a treasure chest that is blocked by a stone door. Continue right until you see a ladder going up and one going down. This star is found after entering the giant door after the Band of Bugs play their tune. Use Jake's FIST SMASH power to crush the rocks trapping the treasure chest on your way through to the bottom of the room. Use Jake's FIST SMASH to claim your prize.įind it in Room 6 of the Tomb Dungeon. Press and hold the R button to unleash Jake's freakishly large ear to prevent the gusts from blowing you off the platform! Open the chest to receive a WIZARD STAR and an instant STAT upgrade!Įnter the stairs that lead to the island where the Duke of Nuts lives - you'll find this baby half-way through the level, encased in smashable blocks. You will land on the platform where the treasure chest is. Ignore the second platform that would usually take you to the top of the room, and instead drop down the hole to your right. When you enter, jump on the platform going up. This WIZARD STAR is located in Room 8 of the Tree Dungeon. Repeat this step until it falls into the pit.
The Crystal Guardian should move further left than you have to the right. Keep pushing forward as you make contact with the wall. To defeat it, simply stand on the elevated area to the left of the cave and jump forward into the slant of the ceiling.
Inside, you will have to defeat the Crystal Guardian. Use Jake's HEAVY ability to pass the stone wall just before the entrance to the Candy Kingdom and enter the cave beyond.
